Jeff Finger, Golden Gate Community Church (’99 parish)
Jeff is the pastor of the “99″ parish of Golden Gate Gate Community Church in San Francisco.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Jeff has a background in Mathematics and Engineering, spending several years in the aerospace industry working for both McDonnell Douglas and Rohr Industries. He has also taught high school Mathematics at Thurgood Marshall Academic High School in San Francisco. Becoming more and more convinced that he should respond to a sense of God’s call on his life to preach, he returned to graduate school in August of 1991. Jeff completed his Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky in August of 1994.

Since 1997, Jeff has been a pastor at GGCC as its worship leader and pastor in residence. In July of last year, GGCC was prepared to extend its influence further into the city by commissioning Jeff as the pastor of its second parish. Jeff then left teaching in order to serve Golden Gate full time and helped develop the core of people that established the “99 Parish” on November 6. He has been serving as parish pastor ever since and still marvels at the wonder of his good fortune to be formed as a pastor by such a graced community of people.
